Book Talk - Dive into the Neurodivergent Multiverse w/Bryden Carlson-Giving

Come and listen in with Bryden Carlson-Giving, OTD, OTR/L, as he dives into the Neurodiversity Multiverse as editor of the book Neurodiversity-Affirming Occupational Therapy: Empowering Approaches to Foster Neurodivergent Participation.

You will be introduced with what neurodiversity is and what it isn't and learn about disability culture, with some examples of cultural norms for some different Neurodivergent communities. Bryden will also talk about the medical model of disability, ableism, and the neurodiversity framework/paradigm.

Along with facilitating an activity where attendees get to explore their own neurodivergence, he will also introduce occupational therapy and what occupational therapy practice looks like in schools.
