Students who have just completed Grades 1 - 6 may sign up to experience half a day in a one-room school house, complete with teacher and snacks! Held at the historic Welker Schoolhouse on the Wright County Fairgrounds in Howard Lake, MN, students will learn reading, math, spelling, and penmanship alongside classmates from five other grades. The program is based on late 19th century schoolbooks from the Wright County Historical Society's collection.
The program will start at 9:00am on Friday, July 29th, and last until around 12:00. A schedule will be available at sign in. WCHS will provide bottled water and a small snack to all students. Students may also bring their own snack if desired. Parents are welcome to stay and watch the program form the back of the classroom.
Registration is required. Call the museum at (763) 682-7323 to reserve your student's spot!
