Future of Farming: Minnesota Turkey Farming (Repeat Performance)

NOTE: This is an identical presentation to the 1:30pm presentation.

This year the Wright County Historical Society is proud to present their Future of Farming program focusing on the Minnesota turkey farms past, present and future. WCHS’s History of Tractors Series began in 1999 with a spring presentation on Minneapolis Moline tractors. Due to the program’s overwhelming success, WCHS has added a fall farming series on current practices and technology in agriculture. On Tuesday, November 17th, Erica Nelson will give two presentations, at 1:30pm and 6:30pm, in the Wright County Heritage Center Activity Room (2001 Hwy 25 North, Buffalo).

In its fourth year, the Future of Farming series has drawn upwards of 150 attendees from around the state and beyond. This event is free and open to the public. Erica Nelson, Ag Program Specialist with the Minnesota Turkey Growers Assocation, grew up on a turkey farm and is a 6th generation turkey farmer! If attendees wish, they may bring bars or cookies for the light lunch following each presentation.
