The History of the Crimean War, with Richard Lett, MVO

Join the Wright County Historical Society as we host Richard Lett, MVO, on Wednesday, January 21st from 6:30-7:30pm, located at the Wright County Heritage Center (2001 Hwy 25 N, Buffalo). His topic, “The Crimean War”, promises to educate as well and entertain as Richard shares stories of his love of history and extremely interesting professional life.

Recently retired from the London Metropolitan Police after 30 years of service, in particular with the Royal Protection Department serving the British Royal Family, Lett was appointed a Member of the Royal Victorian Order (MVO) in 2012 for his service with the Royalty Protection Department. Notably, he served as Personal Protection Officer to Princes William and Harry, as co-coordinator of protection for the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as Protection Coordinator for many events the British Royal Family attended over the years. Richard now makes Minnesota his home and serves as a Member Advocate at the Minnesota Benefit Association, which provides benefits and services to Minnesota public employees and their families.

Admission is free: RSVP’s not required but very appreciated.  Light refreshments will be served after the hour-long presentation.  For more information on this or any of the Wright County Historical Society's programs or activities please contact Sally Stevens at 763-682-7323, or visit WCHS’s Facebook page.
