"The generous gifts of time and talent that volunteers give WCHS are truly invaluable. We invite you to join us--there's a volunteer opportunity for everyone!"
-- Lori Nohner, WCHS Curator and Volunteer Coordinator
WCHS involves volunteer participation at all levels of its operation. It encourages an environment of mutual respect, where WCHS board members, staff, and volunteers work towards the aims and objectives as outlined in WCHS' mission statement.
A volunteer in the Wright County Historical Society is an individual who performs an agreed task for no fee or financial compensation. Volunteers help to strengthen WCHS and play an active role in its success.
Current areas of need:
- WRIGHT COUNTY FAIR: Volunteers gain free entry into the fair for their four-hour shifts in either the Welker Schoolhouse or Bonk-Ailslinger cabin. Dates: July 26-30, 2017.
- ONLINE AUCTION: Our biggest fundraiser of the year requires help requesting and collecting unique items, prepping for photography, and possible helping with online responses. Dates: Current through mid-December 2017.
- FESTIVAL OF TREES: We need decorators for our existing trees, and invite individuals, organizations or businesses to decorate their own tree. This can be as little as a couple hours to many hours, depending on your love of decorating! Dates: November 1 - November 28, 2017.
