BEST NAPTIME EVER!

PLEASE NOTE: This is an AFTERNOON presentation.

Join WCHS and author Mary Sue Stevens as she reads her book, "The Magic Christmas Tree", with a brief holiday sing-a-long, fun interactive activity, and a tour of WCHS's Festival of Trees. This event, which starts at 1:30pm, is an annual event at WCHS and is for children of all ages, and little ones are encouraged to come dressed in (warm) pj's and bring a stuffed animal. Hot chocolate and cookies, perfect bedtime snacks, will follow the reading. The author will also answer questions on the book, including her motivation for writing it, and how it developed.

Here is a brief description of "The Magic Christmas Tree":
"This book's beautiful linoleum-cut, hand-painted illustrations and the enduring story of the beauty and magic of the natural world will appeal to young and old alike. The Magic Christmas Tree is the story of little girl named Hana and her search for the most beautiful Christmas tree. She and her father venture into the snowy, moonlit forest where Hana selects the tiniest tree. As Hana goes to bed, her father reminds her to give thanks for the tree because it is a gift from the forest. While Hana dreams of decorating the tree with hand-made ornaments from the forest, something magical happens to the little tree and she awakes to a wonderful surprise."
